Process

CNC-machinery and our manufacturing process enable us to produce high quality aspheres from a plethora of materials in a very short time.

This is also because of our ability to equip our grinding and polishing machines with standardized, self-developed tools being networked and operated with our own technology via recording data-base. Having integrated most modern tactile and interferometrical measurement techniques we guarentee the best optical quality, even for large volumes.

State-of-the-art CNC equipment enables us to produce different convex and concave surface forms. For instance, our aspheres can be aspherical on both sides with different points of inflection. Their shape is not limited by the absolute deviation from the best fit sphere. Furthermore, we can increase the slope towards the border up to 75 degrees.

We can process almost every variety of glas, silica, germanium, silicon, infrared glas as well as zerodur with a precision up to 100 nm form error or 25 nm global RMS. Most of the optical components can be produced with diameters from 2 up to 250mm with a roughness as low as 1 nm Rq.
