Aspheres

Aspheres lead to much better imaging properties and reduce the overall number of optical elements in most applications. asphericon produces diameters from 2,0 up to 250mm with a roughness as low as 1 nm Rq.

Aspheres by asphericon can be aspherical on both sides with different points of inflection. Their shape is not limited by the absolute deviation from the best fit sphere. Furthermore, the slope can be increased towards the border up to 75 degrees.

We can process almost every kind of glas, silica, germanium, infrared glas and zerodur with a precision up to 100 nm form error or 25 nm global RMS. Multiple, parallel production lines guarantee delivery for single-part production as well as for series up to 10.000 pieces.
