a leading local newspaper ran the headline "Aspheres now even more precise" a few days ago. The production of high-precision aspherical lenses with the new ION Finish™ technology that is being referred to here might seem rather mundane at first sight. In fact, this is a ground-breaking step and we will be delighted to present it and our other innovations to you at Optatec 2010. asphericon is presenting an extensive portfolio of products and services at this year's Optatec, taking place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from June 15 to 18, 2010. The star attraction will be the launch of asphericon's ION-Finish™, a technology new to the market, which opens up a new dimension in processing aspherical surfaces.

asphericon improves quality testing by the implementation of a state of the art 3D inspection system made by confovis.
Once again, aphericon participated in the Jena Team Run, held for the fifth time this year. The run consisted of a 3x1.9 km relay through the beautiful Paradies Park in Jena.
